Seniors Select Preschool for Independent Senior Project

Seniors Colin Johnson and Madison Gottlieb have joined the Preschool this week as part of their Independent Senior Projects (ISP). Both writers, the students are investigating the emergence of writing skills in the preschool child.

Puppets Enchant Children and Parents at Preschool Family Fun Night

Ducklings Hatch in the Preschool

We have ducklings in the Preschool! We have incubated and hatched chickens before in the Preschool—in fact, two of our egg-laying hens in the coop are babies that were born here; but, this is the first time we’ve hatched ducklings.

Internationally-known Artist Creates Work of Art before Students’ Eyes

Internationally-known Visual Artist and Independent Curator Noah Saterstrom visited more than 20 Lower, Middle and Upper School classes and the Kindergarten Art Club to share his drawings and oil paintings with students through lectures and class discussions during the week of February 13.

Middle School Students Teach Second Graders about U.S. Government

When Mr. Allison realized that the grade 2 students were learning about the branches of government and how a bill becomes a law, he asked two of his students if they would be interested in creating, planning and implementing a lesson for the second graders. Budding teachers Alyssa Maita and Martha Sheets took the opportunity and ran with it.

In Mr. [Eric] Harrington’s science class students are given the opportunity to create and present an ocean science project. Two particular teams decided to do their projects on creating an environmentally-friendly surfboard.
