Summer Extravaganza! Come Learn About Ways to Enrich and Engage your Kids Over the Summer

The next Parent Teacher Fellowship Membership Mixer will be held Thursday, May 23 in the Tartan Center located adjacent to the Upper School Courtyard. Are you staring at the calendar and realizing that summer is just a few weeks away? Are you searching for activities and learning opportunities for your kids over the summer months? If so, you will not want to miss this information packed meeting! Learn from the experts about exciting ideas and tips for making the most of the summer months for both you and your families!

Here are just a few of the speakers and some of the topics they will be sharing to help guide and expand your summer experiences with your kids: Academic Dean Dr. Jeneen Graham: recommended reading list for parents; Director of Summer School Tait Lihme: exploration of the St. Margaret’s summer school program; Director of Library and Media Center Darla Magana: book suggestions and ways to encourage kids to read over the summer months; Director of the Preschool and Wee Tartan Center Ingrid Andrews: Preschool activities to guide early childhood learning; Lower School Assistant Principal Jennifer Blount and Lower and Middle School Principal Jeannine Clarke: suggestions for engaging your kids for summer learning; Upper School Assistant Principal Ryan Dahlem: lists of best family hikes; Director of Community Life Lora Allison: ideas for sustainability, and community service; All-School Counselor Janice Avalone: tips for staying healthy over the summer; and, STEM learning. Lists of suggestions, ideas and tips will be available for you to take home.
