Alumna Maggie Shipstead Wins Dylan Thomas Prize for First Novel

For her debut novel Seating Arrangements Maggie was awarded the annual Dylan Thomas Prize at a special ceremony at the National Waterfront Museum last Friday. The prize is given to an author of a novel, play, poetry or travel book in the English language who is under 30. Judges said her novel showed immense maturity and great accomplishment.

Launched in 2006, the annual Dylan Thomas Prize is one of the most prestigious awards for young writers in the world. It is an international literary award aimed at encouraging raw creative talent worldwide.
