Are you or someone you know actively looking for work, or preparing for a career transition? If so, there’s a great resource right here at St. Margaret’s.

The Career Connections Ministry has been meeting regularly for three years, and in that time many have received the spiritual, emotional and practical tools to find meaningful employment.

Being out of work or facing a potential career change is emotionally devastating, so the club provides a safe, fun, encouraging but pragmatic place for job seekers to regroup. We connect seekers with the vast amount of resources available in south Orange County, and we serve as an accountability group to keep each other focused on the search.

We remember that God has put us here to serve, and the mission of the group is to be of service to whoever walks through the door. Each week, we celebrate the small victories of the week and then discuss the accountability goals to be set for the week.

The group is full of suggestions, advice, hard-won knowledge, and great networking connections are made each week – totally free to anyone.

I invite you to our meeting, regardless of what your career situation is. Many of the people have come to just lend their support but have then benefitted personally from the club meetings. If you or your company are hiring, or you would be willing to open up your personal and professional network to those in need, please join us.

If you have any questions or would like to discuss the group further, please call me at 949.273.5415 (evenings please) or email me at hughrlander@gmail.com. The club meetings are every Thursday morning in the Church Office at 7:30 a.m.
