Presenting the Class of 2011!

The St. Margaret’s Episcopal School Class of 2011 will graduate this Saturday, June 11 on the Gateway Field officially bringing to a close their careers at St. Margaret’s Episcopal School.

Headmaster Marcus D. Hurlbut, who will present the class on Saturday, said, “The Class of 2011 has distinguished itself in many ways this year through extraordinary leadership and lasting contributions to the life of our school. They have excelled and contributed in the classroom, in leadership roles on campus, in service to the community, on the athletics fields and in the visual and performing arts.”

The 103 graduates of St. Margaret’s Class of 2011 received 550 acceptances to 252 colleges and universities across the country and internationally. In the fall, the will head to a prestigious and diverse list of 68 colleges and universities, including Boston College, Bryn Mawr College, Carnegie Mellon University, Dartmouth College, Duke University, Georgetown University, Harvard University, New York University, Purdue University, Rhodes Island School of Design, Stanford University, University of Notre Dame and University of California, Berkley, University of California, Los Angeles and University of Southern California. Sixty percent will attend school outside of California.

“I felt so much pride seeing the Class of 2011 gathered for the sweatshirt photo,” said Director of College Counseling, Roland Allen. “The diversity of college choices speaks to the diverse gifts and talents of each student in the class. Hooray for these graduates. Hooray for St. Margaret’s!”
